The 1SP0635V2M1R is a Power Integrations SCALE-2 single-channel plug-and-play IGBT driver board for 130 x 140 mm IHM high-power modules, driving IGBTs from 1200 V to 3300 V with a peak gate current of 35 A and an on-board DC/DC converter. It is optimized for high-reliability applications, including rail and traction, and it operates in a master/slave configuration that lets parallel-connected IGBT modules be driven safely. The master can be used alone to drive a single module, or with up to three slaves to drive up to four parallel-connected modules. The board is based on the highly integrated SCALE-2 chipset, which reduces the component count by up to 80 percent compared with a conventional solution, raising reliability and lowering cost. It includes Dynamic Advanced Active Clamping to limit turn-off overvoltage, short-circuit protection, regulated turn-on gate voltage and supply monitoring, and it uses a fiber-optic interface to provide electrical insulation for the command and status signals.
